There are two versions of Tapatalk. A free one and one that iirc is 2.99. The free on is a read only version and the pay version you can post. I get the prompts as well but it only took me to the apps store in iTunes.

"I checked and seems the forum own did not publish this forum into tapatalk network. Please contact forum own to install the plugin and publish the forum."

So it looks like this may be a two step process and the publish step did not occur.
