Title: help with flywheel
Post by: luckyj on October 19, 2010, 08:58:54 pm
ive got a 350 out of a 86 im puttin in my huntin truck. the motor that was in it was a 80 model. ive read that in 86 they changed the crank bolt diameter and went to a one-piece rear main. ive changed the rear main, and know the flywheel i have has a bigger bolt pattern than the new motor. my question is what years from 86-up do i need to look for the flywheel/pressure plate/clutch pack off of? the motor is going in a 80 k10 with a 4speed if that helps. thanks for any help.

Any one piece rear main small block is the same. As far as a clutch I wouldn't be looking for a used one. Buy new, the prices are cheap enough. Awefull lot of work only to have it fail right off, or not work correctly to begin with using used.
