that is in fact a cage. ;D
coming back into the shop today for a 5 point harness (for some reason its hard to pass tech with no restraint system, who knew?) and a driveshaft loop.
forecast calls for rain tomorrow evening, so its gonna hit the track tonight!
as long as i can con someone into working for me at my "day job" there will be video tomorrow.

well there was no sucker to be found to work my shift.
the skinny - best times were in the 11.60 range , allegedly there is video, i just have to get ahold of it from whomever took it.
the cons - we expected it to do 11.50's, 11.60 is close enough for government work. we knew that the torque converter in it is WAY TOO BIG. 4400 stall.... and its still running the STOCK TRUCK CAM, and the waste gate only had a 5 pound spring in it. it was basically either roll off the line or launch off the two step at full boost.
they opted to launch at full boost. ;D
with the above items changed over the course of the winter, it should go high 9's next year.

funny thing is, its not. lol.
its a bone stock 5.3 (lm7) converted to an ls6 intake manifold and wiring harness, flipped manifolds running a master power t70.
th400 running into a custom housed 9 inch. 4400! stall converter the owner literally had laying in his garage. its only on about 8-9 pounds of boost at the moment, after some more bugs get worked out we'll edge it up to around 15-16 and it'll be the trailer park terror it was meant to be.
we dont have many pictures of it because its a really budget build and isn't really an exclamation point on the end of the work we do, lol.
it should be making some more passes with a decent converter next weekend, i am however the best man in my best friends wedding next weekend, but ill see what i can make happen.
