Title: rear springs

Hey guys just got my truck back from painting.I believe this question has been asked before but here goes.The rear lowering springs on this truck cost 319.00 plus shipping.The truck is a 79 chevy.It has 8 leafs plus the main leaf for a total of 9,can i take out 4 or 5 leafs and get the 4 inch drop the same way as the lowering springs? Or am i better off buying the lowering springs? Thanks in advance.

You're better off flipping the axle. Don't remove the leafs, you'll regret it.
