i just got an amazing deal ($20) on a grill that i put in my truck to see if i liked it better then stock. I think it looks good without taking away from the classic look. I was wondering if anyone knows if a grill emblem will sit flush with this? as its mostly flat looking the stock one on my stock grill didnt fit without the ends being 1/4 in from the bars at the edges.
are the newer bowties flatter or would it be tough to get it to look good.

IMO, I would leave it be. If you do find one that is flush, I suppose you could epoxy a stud on the back and sandwich it to the grill.

I've bolted a SS badge on the front of my truck

X2! I think it looks great as is, but if you want the eblem I've seen alot of different custom bowties all over the web. Colors, skulls, flames, and lots of others. Just do a search and pick whichever one you see fit. Most come with 3M tape and shouldn't be too far from flush and there are several that you can drill to mount or just cut the tabs and use the 3M tape. Here's a few that are the bolt in or cut tab type you might like. Hope it helps.

wow for some reason i didnt think about aftermarket emblems. that definatly open up the choices. i like tat billet bowtie, and the SS one as well. hmmm, now the search begins again lol.

Personally, I wouldnt bolt anything to the tubular grill. If you had the billet grill, then I think that would look better.
