Title: Striker Bolt - how tight?
Post by: FritzA on October 24, 2010, 01:58:12 pm
I was going to replace the bushing but I can't get the striker bolt out....drives side.  What is it torked at?

It's not a reverse thread on drivers side is it?

Never seen one that was extremely difficult to get out.  Normal right hand threads.  If it comes down to it put a pipe wrench on it.  If you mess it up too bad for your tastes a new striker is cheap.

They are pretty tight.  The bushing is made onto the striker, removing it from it is going to be a pain.
