Title: Throttle Adjustment
Post by: Da67goatman on October 30, 2010, 07:07:51 am
My pedal does not pull the throttle all the way open, is there some way to adjust it?  The pedal hits the floor at about 3/4 throttle.  Thanks in advance.

I would start by making sure that you don't have any bent brackets or arms. If that all checks out, look into buying a new adjustable throttle cable from Kragen. I used a Spectre one off the shelf.

The cable you should have to adjust I would look at something to do with the carb even if your bracket is bent you still should have the same throttle movement

Its all factory stuff from cable to throttle body.  I'll see if its bent anywhere.  Is there no adjust-ability from the factory?

I bent the arm at the pedal to get a little more travel on mine. Just don't break it where it pivots at the floorboard.
