Title: New kid from Ohio
Post by: Cody1018 on November 05, 2010, 07:51:33 pm
Hello, my names Cody, live in northern Ohio, 16 and about to get my license. Me and my dad are currently fixing up a 1986 K10 4x4 Chevy Silverado. A little history, the truck came from Michigan, got a pretty good deal on it considering the guy we bought it from didnt know he had some replacement panels in the bed. It has a 305 8 cylinder 5.0 liter in it. The bed is basically in mint condition since it had a bed liner in it and had a truck cap (which we took off). The truck sat for about 2 years and fired right up! So far we have replaced all the brakes and brake lines, replaced all the headlights, also the cargo and license plate lights. We are putting in a new windshield in a couple days. Replaced both gas tanks and have done some other minor things to it.

I was going to welcome you but you mentioned the wrong 3 letters in a row, enough to get banned from the site.  I am sure it was purely by mistake because of age and I am sure you tried to be helpful but rules are rules...

Welcome, you remind me of myself!  :D

I joined when I was 16 and got an '87.

I got a good deal after it had been sitting for a while and my dad and I fixed it up a bunch. Mine had a 305 too, but I pulled it and put in a fresh 350.

There's a lot of good information on here and the guys help out a lot, see ya around!
