Title: TH350 Tailshaft Length
Post by: adams18 on November 07, 2010, 04:27:38 pm
I have a TH350 with an NP208 behind it out of a 1978 1/2 ton. I was wondering if there is a standard tailshaft lenth for the 4x4 TH350's or if they differ like the 2wd versions do. I know there are 6,9, and 12 inch tailshafts, but is there an extra short tailshaft that was used for the 4x4s since they dont use a tailshaft housing? thanks

I think it depends on the transfer case its attached ie. The 205 mated to the th350 will be shorter due to the smaller adapter plate than a th350 mated to a 203

Pretty sure there is only one output shaft length for 4x4 applications
