Post by: sbcraised on November 08, 2010, 03:53:56 pm
i have an 82 c20 and i want to bring the front end down and i was wondering how far down i can cut the springs before i run into alignment issues? when i get the cash to put drop spindles on it i plan to, but im just tired of lookin at it normal height

I don't recommend cutting more that 1 full coil.

Thats what i had planned on. and i read something about punchin out the rivets in the rear hangar and moving that up to bring the back end down. i dont want to go very low just yet as its still my only work truck. just tired of it lookin completly stock

I cut the rear hangers off of my 84 and moved them and welded them back in. works fine. A drop shackle is much less work though...
