Title: Military Blazers W/6.2's won't start after sitting all year.
Post by: fitz on November 10, 2010, 09:00:20 pm
I have a pair of 85 M1009 Blazers with the 6.2 diesels. One is rotted real bad and the other one is even worse. I parked them behind the shop about a year ago and now after sitting they don't want to start (both trucks ran fine when parked).
The batteries are fully charged and I the motors crank over fine. I've pulled the fuel filter off of the firewall on both trucks and they both had fuel in them.
Do these trucks have to be primed after sitting for so long?.
I know better than to use starting fluid on them and don't just want to keep cranking them if there is some secret to these things.
Thanks.

spray some wd40 in the intake while cranking it.

Should I cycle the glow plugs first when using the WD40?
