Title: Fuel Pump Push rod
Post by: chevyman350_82 on November 16, 2010, 02:19:10 pm
Hi Guys I have a question I am putting a engine out of a 93 chevy c1500 in my 85 chevy truck and have no fuel...the engine out of the 93 did not have fuel pump so I bought the push rod and fuel pump for it...is the push rod the same?

The newer engine might night have a lobe on the cam for the fuel pump you may need to run a electric pump with a regulator.

well on second thought when I had it on the stand and put the rod in I spun it over to find top dead center and I saw the rod moving...so I'm not sure

I'd still double check that but it could also be a bad fuel pump.

If the 93 motor has the stock cam in it, there is no lobe on the cam.
