Title: Dash Mat
Post by: bravo1616 on November 19, 2010, 11:55:55 am
I'm looking for a velour dash mat, the kind that molds to the shape of the dash, I saw one on JC Whitney, has anyone bought one from them or elsewhere? thx.

If you want to do it right, you want a coverlay. You just gotta be careful after you use the coverlay, if you want to take the dash back off. Sometimes they crack.

hey Skunksmash, I was referring to the mat that sits on top of the dash, I live in arizona and the sun is killer on dashes but good to know about the dash covers, thanks.

i saw one of those dashmats on a blazer at a car show her in oshawa a while ago, he had a newer style interior in it and the material matched perfectly with it and the stitching, definalty a nice look if you can get one that goes well with the seats/carpeting. Ill see if i can dredge up the picture i took of it, but its probably lost somewhere in my media server.

Well if you can afford it, you can always have the whole dash covered in the appropriate color of leather or something. I seen a lot of show trucks that have done that and it looks great. I think its costly though. And you gotta fill in all those cracks first.
