Title: New wheels
Post by: frickenbored on November 19, 2010, 05:08:00 pm
I'm putting a 6" lift on a 1988 k5 blazer, I changed out the axles to a dana 44 in front and a 14 bolt in the rear.  Its now time to buy wheels and tires, I know I'm getting 315/75R16 tires (35") but I'm not sure on what the wheel size has to be.  All I know is that the diameter has to be 16" and they have to be 8 lug.  I want the tire to stick out about an inch from the fender but I have no clue on what the backspacing or offset has to be.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what rims to get? I know that there are thousands of these kinds of trucks on the road with a 6" lift and 35's so what type of rim are they using?

4" BS will stick out more then a 4.5" and the 4" is the common
10" wide rims will run nicely as well

I've looked for 10" wide wheels but theirs a way bigger selection for cheap 8" wheels, I'm just looking for a cheap black steel wheel under $100 a piece.  So far I know I need:

Lug pattern: 8 x 6.5
Width: 8"
Diameter: 16"
Offset: ?
Backspace: maybe 4"?
Tire size:  315/75R16
