Hey guys ran into a problem with my drivers said window, was cranking it up and the metal part that is glued (i believe because there are no bolts) onto the window broke off. Am I S.O.L. or can I fix this? Was looking around and only place I found called this a window sash, go a picture if anyone has used before.

Did it come off in 1 piece, or was it rusted out and falling apart?

If its not all rusted to crap you can put it back on. Glass places will have the tape that goes in the track before you pound the glass back in with a rubber hammer. Or just get a whole used window!

Sash is rusted and broke into pieces. Found new window sash for 40, I know its not cheap but weighting out my options as the door it self is used and from a salvage yard thats 30+ miles away. When I was there last he only had two doors and other had broken window. Guess I can call down there before I buy new but really wanted to make sure it was repairable. So if I get new sash I can take it and window to a window place and they can install, or is there something I can buy to install myself? Thanks for help guys.

I'd have a glass guy do it, unless you have the tape and the hammer, and know where on the window it goes.

You can find a used window somewhere. Grab the sash off the next broken window you see in a yard if you want to save your old one as a spare, but a used window is the easiest and cheapest.
