Post by: polish pete on November 24, 2010, 07:41:05 pm
hey guys recently got an 80 gmc, and im changing the q-jet over to a mech holley also will be changing the intake to support the carb, now the question is factory fuel pumps have 3 fittings, now do i need to have a return line? i already got another fuel pump that only has 2 fittings.

You don't need all three but the extra is for the charcoal canister if you remove the canisters the line shouldn't be plugged its a vent line mount it high on the rad with a vent can

Pete, What are you trying to GAIN by going to the Holley carb? Daily driving habits, performance, fuel mileage? Lorne

well i got it for a good price, and its a mech carb so i think its a little more performance oriented, i wont get rid of the factory stuff just in case,

and this is to irish alley, does that mean i shouldnt use the 2 fitting pump instead?
