what would be the best size replacement carb for an 1984 chevy k-30 with 454 with mild cam and headers? im thinking maybe a 750cfm edelbrock???? any suggestions?

What carb is on there now? Are you shooting for better mileage (not much), better overall power, easy tuneability? Will the intake manifold accept a square bore carb?

it has a wore out quadrajet on it now. not caring about gas milage. just one thats headache free and easy to maintain. i think it has a stock intake on it
would love to fuel inject it but cant seem to justify spendin near $3000 for the kit :(

One of the best carbs is a well tuned quad.

A 750 Edelbrock will work.

A stock intake would need an adapter to take the 750 edelbrock. Also, you'll need one for this carb as well:

To not need an adapter you could get this but you may need a spacer to clear everything:

The edelbrock I know would require you to cut the fuel line and install a rubber line and install a fuel filter.

Either a 750 Edlebrock or a nice Quadrajet. Can't go wrong with either. Unless you're looking for more performance, grab a Holley.
