can somone tell me if 3/4 ton springs have a stifer rate that 1/2 ton ,want to stiffen front suspention for circle track racing,2 wheel drive, 1986,also will be lookin to lower 2 inches,cut coils ?

I think you will have better luck with shocks.
I know with racing mini sprints we would adjust the shocks

I installed 2" shorter springs from bell tech. They are stiffer and also use a thicker diameter than my originial springs. I don't think the were very expensive either if I remember right. btw my truck is a 1/2 ton with the heavy duty spring option so I imagine they would be the same used as a 3/4 ton.

X2 what 1980c10 said, you should be able to find a set of shorter stiffer springs for under 100 bucks.

As cheap as airbags are, you could throw them in and tune them for different track conditions with air pressure from the pit air compressor, even during a race.

suspention is suposed to remian stock,no racing shocks or springs.thats why i was thinking 3/4 ton springs,but after market springs would work if i blasted them and left outside to rust,realy only need front right spring to be stiffer
