Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and was wondering if anyone knows where on your truck to find the Paint Codes? I checked the glove box, the driver's door and under the hood, but I can't seem to find it! And once you find it, how can you decode it?
Thanks,
Dave

should be in the glove box, should have a couple numbers like 81u in the middle somewhere
-
I also believe on two tone trucks there should be another number that would have an L after it

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be there, but the tag that's there doesn't have that info. I'll have to check again tomorrow night!

On 84's the build sheet is under the hood on the drivers side inner fender, directly below the drivers side hood hinge facing towards the fender. It looks like this.

Well I checked and it looks like it's there but it's covered over, likely undercoating or something. I'll have to try and clean it off on the weekend.

Thanks Chris, I did have that link already. I don't think I can get whatever's on the label off without wrecking the label.
Any other way of finding out the paint codes??

Should be listed on that page, or get GM to look it up.
Post what you find.
