Title: Brake Pull
Post by: rainman15 on November 29, 2010, 01:53:12 pm
84 GMC K-1500 SWB.  I replaced my front pads, calipers and rotors because I was getting a little pull to the left under hard braking.  I figured I had a caliper that was sticking, or just getting old so I replaced everything up front. The truck still pulls to the left when I brake.  Is there any chance the back brakes could be causing this?  Any suggestions?

How's your alignment?  Could be pulling because one wheel has more toe than the other.  Could also be a bad wheel bearing, causing binding on that side.  I would also check your rear brakes to make sure they are engaging at the same rate.

If the front end is tight, replace the brake hoses.
