Post by: ngarman123 on November 29, 2010, 08:19:35 pm
when i turn my truck sharp to either side it feels like i have the brakes on. there is no roll what so ever. what does that sound like? u-joints? i know my tire pressure is good but does need an alignment just wondering? thanks

I am going to assume its 4x4? To check if the axle joints are frozen jack up both front tires, lock the hubs, turn the wheel all the way one way or the other. Then rotate your tires, as you rotate them if they try to steer the truck they are seized up.

yes it is a 4x4 73 or 74 k10 i will try that and see how things go. is it a pain in the a** to replace to u-joints in the front axle? basically truck wont fit in the garage and trying not to get into anything to in-depth till spring. thanks
