i have an 87 chevy r10 that has a rusty as cab. i am having trouble finding a rust free cab for cheep in my area and was wandering if on off of a c60 would work, which are plentrful and cheep in my area. what do you guys know on this? :-\
-
C60's have a different floorboard and doors.
-
the doors are the same im not shure on the floor, but the hoods are diferent?
-
Wasn't guessing, floors are different, they are flat, doors have the front corner missing for the fender clearance.
-
Aren't the cab corners and lower section of the back panel different also?
-
Yes, rear of the cab is longer and the corners wrap around to meet it. There is a pic here somewhere
found it:

could i put one of these cabs on a 1/2 ton frame you think or bad idea?
-
I'm not so sure it'd be a direct bolt on but I'm sure you could fabricate something. You'd probably need a body lift to clear the trans but I'm just guessing.
-
Not easily.
-
I'd be willing to take that task on over the crap I'm dealing with on my project lol
-
Did they make C60's in 4wd? Or an equivalent rather?
-
i don't think they did but i may be wrong, there is dozens of of these trucks in my area tha are still being used and every farmer has atleast one siting around. they are plentiful in my area

A friend of mine who owns a towing company has one with a flat bed on it.
