80 C20 400 turbo flywheel cover.checked tranny shops and salvage yards with no luck.heard aftermarket covers hit.i have a cast alum cover off 80 4x4 350 turbo would that fit ?any other suggestions?
-
I don't think so. I switched from a TH 350 to a TH 400, (best decision I ever made with that truck), a lil over 10 years ago & have collected about 15 of these cover pans & not one of them fits. So I just don't worry about it. I've never had a freezing up issue with the starter or anything else, so I don't even think about it till I'm laying under the truck for some other reason & notice it. But by the time I get out from under it, I've forgotten all about it.
I don't know if an 8" lift has anything to do with it or not.......

you could always go "necked"...i haven't had one for years.however,i'm 4xing either.might keep crud out of there.
-
Or you could go naked. I prefer to have my flywheel covered.

You can use an aluminum one, plastic one or a chrome one.

trans dapt says don't waste your money. they are junk. :(isn't it.
-
What do they suggest, leaving it off??? Mine's missing too, and I'd like to get one someday.

Seems its fairly simple to make one from a th350 work on th400.....

Shows the small differences between the two....
