Title: Front End

My truck leans to the drivers side.  This scares me because I read here that it could be the frame and or other issues.

  I wanted to lift truck because it seems so low in front.  I am torn though on doing this. Im wondering what it would look like if I rebuilt the front end.

Is it possible someone has a measurement on what the front end should be at for a 86 c10 silverado?

It is probably the body mounts.  No truck is going to be exact though.  How much lean are you talking about 2" or 6"

Check your tire pressures and set them equal (assuming same size tires all the way around. Then make a measurement from the top of the spring to the frame and compare your measurements Left to Right. If your body isn't rotted it's most likely a fatigued rear leaf spring.

I was just reading through some of the tech pages on another thread. From what I can tell, if you can get the truck up on pretty level ground, your looking at about 27"-28" to the top of the Bumper. Or from the top of the cab to the ground, 73" this is figuring you have stock tires and suspension. It's probably not perfect, But a pretty good starting point.

Like Chris said, start checking the Cab mounts, Maybe a collapsed shock. Get yourself a floor jack and a 4x4,   jack the cab up on the low side until it levels out and check the difference in all the Body mounts. JMO

I don't know if yours is 4wd or 2wd. Mine is 2wd and I had a bad lean also. I got to inspecting and found two things compounding the issue. One was the lower ball joint on one side had somehow popped out so the spring was compressed a little more. Second the coil spring itself was not seated in the correct spot. There is a grove that doesn't go all the way around in the bottom of the control arm. If the spring is twisted then the end of the spring doesn't sit in that grove. Just my 2 cents.
