I had a chip in my windshield, so I took it to a local glass shop to the it fixed. The chip was in the bottom, passenger side corner of the windshield. But now, it has formed a crack that extends roughly 8 inches, down to the very bottom corner of the glass. Eventually, I will need to get the windshield replaced, as I am looking at restoring this truck back to its original condition. So does anyone know if you can still get the windshields for these trucks, that have the antenna embedded in it? Seems like it might be something that they stopped making by now.

I talked to a guy at a local glass shop a few months ago and he said they still make them. I was surprised too.

A cheaper route is a junkyard. Got mine with antenna and tint at top for $45

Safelight auto glass is who i had do mine, brand new with windshield antenna and tint. Also gave me the rubber piece that snaps onto the window for the radio brand new as well.

I put a new one in about a year and a half ago. It had the antenna and the band of tint at the top, and it was $100 from my buddy that runs a body shop. The antenna in that particular windshield squiggles all over the place at the top, but it doesn't bother me.

bout a year ago. 150 installed.

Safelite was under 200 for mine. I think it was under 150. Nationwide warranty

I just has 2 trucks windshields replaced, both with the antenna.

$100-$120 cash installed by most glass shops around here if you know someone or wheel and deal.

I had mine replaced and they charged my insurance over $300, which I thought was ridiculous especially since they busted the old one all over my interior. I didn't complain though cause it didn't cost me anything and gave me a reason to clean the interior.

Most glass shops guarantee their work maybe since it split they will help you out

Good to know. But yeah this glass shop will take the cost of the repair off the cost of the new windshield, if I get it done in under 1 year. The repair was around 35 bucks so I guess that'll help a little bit. It will be nice to be able to delete the fender mounted antenna when I have the truck painted. Guess I can go forward with plans to do that, now that I know I can get another windshield with the antenna in it. I've always disliked fender mounted antennas. Makes em look like remote control cars.
