I took my truck to a body shop a friend recommended to get a quote on my truck. The passenger bed side and door are a little beat up (lots of dings mainly) the back of the cab is kinked around the window corners from a heavy load shifting in the bed at some point and hitting the end of the end with enough force the dent the cab. I have since replaced the bed end cap. The sides and tailgate have several chipped spots, a dent on the hood and the passenger side front fender needs to be replace due to corrosion from the battery. It is also starting to show some slight rust around the door frames and along the bottoms of the doors.
Anyway the guy looked it over and said he would remove all the dents, replace my fender. (I already have a good fender to bring with the truck) realign the doors and body parts and get all the body lines straight, paint the entire truck including the bottoms of the doors and door jambs, shoot it with clear then sand it and shoot it with a second coat of clear for $3000.00 including all materials. By the way, I am repainting back with the same factory blue it came with and this will be it's first repaint. The paint that is on it is in good condition for 31 years as it slept indoors most nights of its life.
Is this a good deal? I think it may be but I want to hear from you guys because this is my first time having anything done like this.

good deal if he does good work, can you see other jobs he has done? three is a good price just for a complete repaint with no body work
needed.

I've never seen an entire vehicle he's done. I have seen the body repairs he's made on my buddies new truck though and they look like nothing ever happened.

Like onelow84 said, good deal if you can see his previous work. Also check with a couple other body shops and get estimates and ask to see their work. Any reputable body shop will have a photo album and references. But I would pay that to get that work done, it seems reasonable.

Thanks for the advice guys.
