Title: Painting in the cold....
Post by: Zeked on December 27, 2010, 04:00:30 pm
My 87 short step and I live in Central Oregon and it gets chilly
around now....  Whats the best (cheap) way to get paint on
a ranch truck without waiting for spring?   Most paint wants to
be above 40 degrees, and thats not gonna happen without propane.

Thanks
Zeke Duge

Rattle can is your only "cheap" option for winter.  I would only hit the spots that need it and wait till the weather warms up.  Anything else will be a disaster... My $.02

For cold weather painting, your only choice is going to be lacquer paint with a retarder to prevent blushing.
