my truck just has a bunch of lights instead of gauges could i cut out the lights an stick a guage in the hole?
-
You need Sending units for gauges too...
-
yea i was going to do all of that but would it work just to cut out the lights i mean i dont have any gauges except gas gauge an speedo an i wouldnt mind having at least a temp gauge instead of light
-
You have the best possible combination IMO. Put a nice set of aftermarket gauges either in the upcoming pillar pods or under the dash. The factory gauges are OK but the lights will get your attention where unless you scan your gauges you might not pick up a problem as quick. My $.02
-
yea i could do that i guess too. i have an oil pressure gauge an about that i know this is the wrong place but what should a 350 run for oil pressure
-
10psi per 1,000 rpm is a good rule of thumb
-
it runs ilke 20psi at an idle an doesnt move much from there
-
You cannot install gauges in the dummy light holes, you need the whole cluster for the specific year you have.
