so i bought a brand new chevy 350 zz4 turn key crate motor for my truck and just got it installed last weekend, it came as a long block pretty much so i still need to install the carb and all the front accessorys and such it came with. this is my first new crate motor that i have purchased and was wondering if there is any special procedures i need to do before i fire it since in didnt come with any instructions of any kind, do i need to prime the oil pump or anything like that on a new crate motor? thanks for any info

Yes, you should prime the oil pump.
Seems odd that a new crate motor from GM would not come with instructions.
