Title: I need vacuum help
Post by: Da67goatman on January 05, 2011, 07:18:20 pm
What is the best way to CAUSE a vacuum leak?  Yes I know this is opposite of what everyone else does.  I need to have vacuum bleeddown in rubber hose.  Should I put a slit in it? A hole?  I need ideas.  Thanks.

Unplug one. Try the HVAC line.

Never mind I re-routed some stuff and used a pre-existing vent.

Why did you need a leak?

I have vacuum operated water valves, and vacuum closes them.  in order for me to have heat I had to kill vacuum to them, but it wouldn't bleed off, it retained the vacuum.  I rerouted lines and it all worked out, no holes needed.
