Could be any number of things. Module and coil are suspects, so is the cap, rotor and plug wires. That's assuming you've got good plugs. How are you testing the strength of the spark?

rotor and cap are new, grounding it out to the frame...i suppose with electronic ignition that is a slap on the hand?

grounding a plug to the frame? Do your plugs look carbon sooted? Unfortunately, with the price of a new distributor, it almost makes better sense to replace the whole thing than just pieces. Is is a stock HEI or an accel?

I'll guess it's the pick up coil.

stock...the pickup coil looks new but the module is factory i would guess.  Had this beast running once and went out to start and nada...battery is full...very weak spark...no snapping at all...i replaced all the plugs gapped @ 45

Not sure where in Oklahoma you're at, but if you're near a parts store they can test the module.
