Title: Rear axle question

could anyone give me some info  on swapping rearends  will a rearend from a 1990 1500 fit in a 1987 1/2 ton? I know its a 6lug axle but that does not cocern me. Are the spring mounts the same? and is width same?  thanks for any info if you can help cheers

the spring perch width is different, i believe. otherwise you should be good on WMS widths.

do you mean the width between spring perches is different or the sprig perch itself is a different width   Thanx

A fella purchased a rear end from me from a 91 C2500 I was parting out.  This was for an earlier GM like ours and said it was the right width but he had to redo the spring perches, but I haven't measured it myself, the truck is long gone...

spring perch width is different, you have to move them as stated.
