Thought I would say hi. I'm a new member from Minnesota. Just picked up a 1977 Chevrolet Stepside last week which I got for $450. It's a little bit rougher than in the pic but should be a fun truck to work on. Vin says it has a 305 but the guy said it had been swapped so I have yet to decode the block but it has a blown 350 trans, good thing I know how to rebuild them! Anyways looking forward to learning some stuff and sharing my knowledge when I can. I also own a 1970 chevelle malibu and a 1984 el camino. Sorry this is the only pic I have right now.

Thanks everyone heres some pics of my cars. The 1970 chevelle malibu is an all original numbers matching car with a 350sbc, turbo 350 and 10 bolt rear and has about 75,000 original miles on it. Have owned it since I was 16 (now 20) and plan on starting to restore it this year. Previous owner didn't know a thing about body work but that's what I went to school for. 1984 el camino has 34,568 original miles but has a 350sbc and turbo 350 swapped in out of a 1970 caprice, and an 8.5 10 bolt rear with 3.73 and posi out of a 1987 grand national.

Well I decoded the vin number on my engine today and turns out it's a 350 out of a 1978 camaro. Glad it isn't the stock 305.
