well i decided to buy some new tires sometime in the next few months so i want a nice set of aluminum wheels and talked to a guy at work and he has two nice sets and i figured id see what you guys think.
one set is a pure wheel 15x9 and the other set is a set of slots that are 15x8 1/2. i can get either set with a set of old tires on them for like $125-150! here are some pictures. im leaning towards the slots but the other wheels his son ran on his lifted 87 swb and they look nice too.

Get both - Offer him a deal ;)

NO brainer for me... but I'm rather bias.
SLOTS all the way ;D

Slots all the way
-
Tough call--they're both perfect for my tastes. Yeah, get 'em both!
-
If you only get 1 set, get the slots
-
Another vote for the slots
-
MC hammer called, He wants the first ones back. Go with the slots.
-
Slots IMO. If your buying new tires, I would ask him just for the wheels and save the difference to put towards the new tires.

Hammer time

Slots all the way Dude.

The tires on both sets of wheels are no good he has already told me that they just haven't dismounted them.
-
double rainbow all the way
-
I would have to agree, I would pick the slots..

What do you guys recomend for a tire? I was planing on a 33x12.5 I want something that looks good but will last with me driving it and I don't wheel it so that's not a big concern but I like the way a mt looks.

I prefer a 31x10.5 and bfg a/t t/a tire on a 4x4, but that's just my preference. I had a set of rims like your 1st pic, I got them completely trashed for 40.00 for the set. I wet sanded and polished (a lot)and the shine did come back, they looked almost new. btw when you do get them make sure they don't install the wheel weights on the outside of the rims.
