Title: Clicking sound
Post by: burbboysgc on January 14, 2011, 12:00:27 pm
When I turn on my heater, (blower motor) defrost,or any part of the "climate control" I get a clicking sound. The higher the setting the faster the clicking. I replaced the blower motor about a year ago.It had a quieter click when first installed, but now it's just getting annoying. I don't remember the old motor making any type of noises, could I have over tightened the blower fan? Any suggestions on what could be causing this noise? :-\

Could it be a piece of paper or straw that fell down the defrost vent?

That or something is in the fan housing.

I had a car that filled up with leaves, removed the blower motor and dug them out.

That is what I was thinking of. Something touching the squirl cage.
