Title: 1975 C10 4.1 250ci coolant problem
Post by: Slooby on January 14, 2011, 10:14:56 pm
Alright I had no heat in the truck, gauge is broke.  I pulled the thermostat housing to discover no thermostat, picked one up from the parts house.  Installed topped off with coolant and discovered while I was running the truck no flow in the radiator, just wondering if I need to let it run longer to see if flow starts when thermostat opens or if the water pump is bad as I suspect.  If thats the case where would be the best place to get one, no parts house like autobone, advanced, and napa have it in stock, its a special order part....  Should I grab on from a boneyard til I get a new one, or what?  Thanks in advance.

Is it full?   If you find your water pump is not working get a new one.
