When I bought my beast,(85 C20 crew cab), the previous owner gave me 2 driver's side windows. I'm in the process of cleaning the inside of the door where someone shattered the window and got the remnants of the old one out. Ok, the track on the donor glass is beyond rusted...is there a kit to put this back on the glass or do I have to buy a new one? ok, i was out messing with the window track and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't come up all the way...I felt something that felt like a stop and after dropping a mirror in and looking in the track I saw the culprit...an old piece of chewed up bubble gum! I guess the window kept falling down so, he decided to stick it shut. I love getting other peoples "work".

it would be cheaper if you found a donor with that glass. That track looks shot!

ya, they came with the truck. I think the window motor is shot. I can push the scissors up and down and watch the gear coming out of the motor spin but when i use the switch the scissors won't work and the gear doesn't spin but makes a heckuva lot of noise.

Just grab a used one or post in the classifieds here. Someone is bound to have one cheap enough.
