Can someone look at these pictures and tell me if something looks wrong. I have a 1984 body sitting on, I believe a 78 4wd 3/4 ton frame. It also has a 4 inch suspension lift. When I drove the truck home from the previous owners house (have really drove it since because I have been working on it) the front end bounced like crazy over bumps. Felt like there was no suspension. The actual leaf spring seems to be rubbing on the frame. Is this normal?

Here is another picture and by the way you can ignore the break caliber sitting on top of the leaf spring. I am working on the front axle.

there should be a rubber bushing in the spring eye it looks like its just old and falling apart and is no longer there that’s why the spring it hitting the frame. But as far as ride quality welcome to lifted trucks lol

i'll second what irish said. bushing shot, needs to be replaced. rough ride =our trucks!

I noticed alot of lifts installed without the bushing in the frame being replaced. Your spring should be something like 3/4" to an 1" away from your frame.
