Title: White Smoke
Post by: ilovebeingme87 on January 22, 2011, 09:43:55 pm
I have an 87 chevy r10 stepside 350.  I had some white smoke coming out of the exhaust and so I had the heads inspected resurfaced and new gaskets installed.  Upon inspection it showed some water getting by in between cylinders 4 and 6.  The smoke was constant.  Now I have smoke when acceleration is applied from idle or from a stop to go.  This is really frustrating and I have no other experience to where this could be coming from.  Any ideas so I can get her running again would be great.

60's.  California weather.  Im wondering if my timing has anything to do with it?  Or a faulted sensor?  I replaced all the gaskets torqued everything.  had the heads resurfaced and checked for cracks/leaks.  It all looks good.  No leaks on the outside.  Someone also told me to look into the egr valve.  Im definetly on uncharted territory and like I said in my other posts, I needed this truck running last month.
