Hey guys my th375 wont kick down when I stomp on it. How should I go about tracking down the problem?
-
when I had that problem, I found my kick down cable on the carb needed to be adjusted.

I believe the TH375 is an electric/switch operated and adjustment is under the dash. There is a thread on this, search TH400 Kick down and you should pull it up.

thanks man :) Im gonna look for an installation guide. Im not familliare with the way the system works or where all the componants connecting that switch to the tranny are located.

thanks alot man I must have skipped over that one when I looked earlier. Thars just what I needed to see. If I recall correctly my truck doesnt even have one of those switches on it. hmm this is gonna be a pain since I dont know how the switch links up to cause the tranny to kick down or have one on there to look at and find out. thanks for the help man I gotta go try and figure this thing out ???

Assuming your truck originally came with a TH350 that would make sense. Going to a TH375 is a logical step up without having to change the drive shaft yoke. I don't know if they make kits, you may have to find a donor truck in a salvage yard to get the wiring from the trans to the switch on the go pedal.
