well sux for me blew my head gasket, but i found a set of rebuilt heads never been ran for 100.I figure I'm going this far might as well change my cam, gonna use an RV cam.Any advice or tips for this novice i know how to break in a cam (run it 20 Min's @2000 RPMS).also throwing a new timing set head bolts dress up etc. NE thing else i needa look forward to?

When breaking in the cam you'll want to run a break-in additive or break-in oil. The cam manufacturer will have explicit instructions for their method of break-in.

im new to this sight also and getting ready to do the same project.. as soon as it warms up abit here in ks.. im wondering should i be looking to replace the cam bearings?? i hear they are a pain to do...?!?!

Dunno how hard it is to change cam bearings, but you do need a special tool

You do need a special tool and......... the engines oil pan off. They have to come out and go in thru the bottom of the block.

well i disassembled the accessories and headers. headers were loose and no gaskets. on the power steering they used the bracket for a/c i dont have a/c what bracket do i use to clean this up and what do u use as a spacer for the top bolt fm power steering mine had an oversized nuts

basicly i needa see pics of power steering the way it bolts on mine doesnt have ac but the ac bracket is there should i cut it or wut. beastie how far are you fm sunnyvale

would a lunati 60102 cam work good on stock heads?

i know that i used to live there my grandparents still live there off presscott street. Heads are the 462264 they said they r crack prone so i wouldnt doubt it if they cracked cylinder walls look good will post progress later
