It looks as if I'm creating a 73-87 chevy truck family. Today I went and looked at a 1985 Chevy Silverado swb a guy was selling for $1200, so I found out it had a bad window motor, no pass. side blinker and brake light, and suppose to have a starter that's acting up but so far seems to be fine. It has the normal cab corner rust as expected, with a small rust hole in the drivers door. The motor was swapped out to a 350 from the factory 305, runs great so got him to let it go for $800 on the first offer I had and kicked myself being as I probably could have got it cheaper but still got it for a steal in my eyes. Haven't fully decided what I plan to do with it other than drive it right now, but I know ideas will come soon. Well let me know what you think.

Get you a set of matching rims and tires and just drive it. If it runs and drives it's worth $1500. Good luck with your new project...

Wow a straight factory rear chrome step bumper and a straight tailgate lever. I'd would have paid that for it easily. Nice find!!!

Looks like an awesome deal too me.

Yea that's what I was thinking was just fix the little problems, clean the body up and probably shave the lower molding strip and the tie down straps on the bed then get two more rally wheels and just drive it while I build my 75 being as she's my play truck. Haven't decide on a color though, maybe a newer silver color on the new chevy trucks.

I agree, drive it while working on your 75, then you can turn around and start on the 85. ;D

Well plan to pull the headliner out and the interior panels out so I can get them resprayed, going to send the factory radio off to a guy to get him to refurbish it and put an aux port in, I want to keep this as close to original as I can, also need to pull the trailer brake setup off of it being as I doubt I will be pulling anymore goose neck trailers around. Also need to find a new/new to me seat, weather its buckets or another bench.

Today I bought new shoes and rubber for her. 15x8 for the front and 15x10 for the rear. I think she looks good with them, now just need to get my drop and do some bodywork/paint and she'll look even better.

Well the weekend was somewhat good for the silverado for me. I got a new to me tailgate that is a chevy one, with no rust and/or dents for $50 thanks to craigslist. And thought I had a new dashpad and arm rest but wound out not realizing until after I bought them that they where for a 77-80 bodystyle. But I only paid $100 bucks for both which is a steal but I don't want to convert mine to the older style. So looks like I'll have to sell'em or trade them if I can find one. They are practically brand new factory replacements. But I will have pictures of the new tailgate tomorrow, I was surprised at the condition of it.
