Title: Edelbrock 1405 Carburetor manual choke conversion?

i bought a Edelbrock 1405 Carburetor and dint know it was a manual choke.. i have a stock 5.7 liter sb 350 in a k5 1979 blazer.. will this work on it or should i but an electric choke conversion kit?.. as a novice iom not sure the difference between manual and electric choke.. any suggestions or knowlrdge would be appreciated

Its nice to have the electric conversion kit, or maybe just return the 1405 and get the 1406.

i bought it on ebay from a private seller it may cause some problems if i did that plus i bought it for $150 :)) for a manual choke to work id have to purchase a cable for it?

The kit is about $50 and that will still keep your investment way below what the carb goes for retail.

you should sell the Edelbrock and buy a demon 625. its runs a lot better them Edelbrock carbs do. its what i use, and ive ran Edelbrock.
