Post by: exodus138 on February 17, 2011, 04:31:00 pm
does someone know where i can get longer lug studs for my front wheels? i have a set of rims i want to put on and i have to use a spacer. problem is when the spacer is on.. there only about 5/16 of the thread showing for the nut to tighten on.. i bought longer ones from jegs but they were for the rear.. can sum1 post a link where i may purchase them?

How thick is the spacer? Most wheel spacers bolt up with your existing studs, and then have another set of studs that the wheel bolts to. If your spacers are just drilled through like a washer I would reconsider using them. That doesn't answer your question, but from what you described it sounds like a potential safety hazard.

yea it is a safety hazard so my rims are mix matched at the moment.. ya the spacer just has holes drilled through it for the lugs to slip through.. where can i get a couple spacers with lugs?

I bought some for my Blazer. Got em off an online company on eBay. Think they were called E-Z Accessory or summin.

Agreed with all of the above. Bolt-on spacers will be much safer than slip-ons. Just ordered my bolt-ons from ezaccessory.com this am.

But if you ever need longer studs for anything, circle track/dirt track race shops usually have just about any kind of wheel studs you could ever want.

That's the same company. They ship very fast too. I live in England and they arrived in 3 days!! Postage was pretty cheap too.
