Once the snow melts this ol' gal will get pulled out of where its sittin right now. It prob. needs a new frame and a fair amount of body work. We are planning on putting a 12V Cummins in it. Sorry bout the samll pics, taken with my cell because I didnt have the camera with me.
1 of the Bonanza emblems, they fell off the sides and my grandpa put em inside the cab.

The interior is still pretty straight forward, still needs work though.

Its sunk in the dirt a bit. I moved all the tires from round it today. It had a snowplow on the front (that will be removed) Im gong to purchase a new bed for it. Some of the sheetmetal can be saved I think. When it gets pulled out I will do a better inspection to ind out.

Should be a nice project...

The Cummins swap will be sweet! Check out craigslist for the bed and sheetmetal, I've had good luck getting decent stuff for a decent price.
Are you planning any suspension mods?
-
Thanks guys. Once we get started Im going to start watching Craigslist. Im planning on puting a body lift on it and some other stuff for hauling and to make sure the front will hold the Cummins. Im planning on this project being a long going project but I never know I guess :D

With normal use, it'll hold the extra weight of the Cummins just fine. And also, the front end on a Chevy is all around more stout than a Dodge.

Thanks for the info. I dont know too much bout Chevys (Hate to say it but Im not a real big Chevy fan :-\ Dont get mad at me, lol) Tonight I came home from school, took everythign out of the bed, took the tailgate off (it was already half off) Took the large stuff outta the cab, and chopped the brush off round it (got attacked by a thorn bush, chopped it off and it came up and got my back, couldnt get it off so I walked to the door dragging it behind me still attached to my back and yelled to my grandpa to get the stuid thing off of me, he just laughed :D)

welcome and good luck with the project and the 12v swap...

Thanks, here is a pic from today. Cant wait to pull it out when the snow melts. Hacked down all the weeds. I forgot to mention there is a bedliner in it that I think helped hold the bed together and p;rotect it some from water and snow.

If its a drop in liner it prolly didn't do any good protecting it from weather, those things tend to hold moisture in and rust out beds... sorry to be that bearer.
-
Could be possible, without it it would probably still need a new bed anyways, haha. Once it gets putt out Im gonna pull out the bedliner and see what its like underneath, it doesnt really matter cause both sides are crapped out anyways :-\

check out what the bed liner i had in my truck did to my 81... you will think twice bout putting it back in...
-
Like I said I will be getting a new bet. I have absolutely no planning on putting the bed liner back in. I really want to put a wooden floor in the bed.

i have a 79 bonanza k10 and some one put a bed liner in it and the hole under neath is rotted out. :( i dont like them at all
-
I know what yall mean about the bed liners, my bed on both sides beside the posts on the rear are rusted pretty bad but luckily they are patch panel for that area....
-
Well, its pulled out of the field. My grandpa got the key for it and put it in neutral, even though the rear brakes locked up on it. I just put my Powerstroke in 4-low and gave some slack in the chain and boosted her up and floored it and the ol' Chevy came right out ;D After we pulled it out we free'd up the rear brakes and parked it out of the way where we can work on it. I will have pics soon. First thing Im doing will be pulling off the bed ;D
