Since the big block is in the "final" stages at the machine shop, it's time to put in a tranny. I am gonna go with a 700R4. Has anyone ever purchased from, owned, or had any experience with Monster Transmission? I do like the fact that they have a 3 year / unlimited mileage warranty. The conversion pkg runs about 1800 bucks but has everything but the fluid. Just wanting some info before "pulling the trigger". Oh yeah, I'm changing from a TH350.
Thanks,

Can't help you out with monster transmission but what is up with the big block? Is the 700r4 you ordered going to handle the big block you're building?

That's a lot of engine for the 700r4. Have you considered using a 4L80E?

I'm not planning on doing any towing with the truck. I was going to the R4 mainly for the overdrive for when travelling on the highway. Is the R4 weak behind a big block 427 that is used as a daily driver? My engine builder says I can expect around 450 hp and 450 tq plus or minus a few. I also plan on going with an Eaton LSD and 3:42 gears. This is a 2wd and not 4x4...not dropped or slammed but stock height. Thanks again to all. I will work on some pix later this evening.

The 700R4 should work fine with the proper upgrades since you aren't building a nasty big block. The 4L80E is a better choice but more $$$
