Title: suicide door kits

If I install a suicide door kit, will it fix my door sag issues?

Is it best to shave the handles and install door poppers with these kits?

     If you were to repair or replace your stock hangers it would solve your sagging issue.  If you install suicide doors and do it right it will also solve your sagging issue's.

It will only "solve" your hanging issues if the body is sitting properly on the chassis...
Bad mounts can cause Door hang.
New door Hinge bushings can solve Door sag.
Adjusting the door hinges can solve door sag.

It all depends on WHY the door is sagging....

Most of the time all you have to do is install new pins and bushings--although Topp brought up some good points.  Not terribly difficult and quite cheap.  Suicide doors can pose serious safety issues if not done correctly with a quality kit.  Don't do it just to fix sagging doors--that doesn't make any sense.  Personally if someone gave me one of these trucks with suicide doors on it I'd spend good money to change it back.  This is your truck, though.  If you love them that's the reason to do it.

Part of setting up suicide doors is to get the door lined up and gapped properly. The kits aren't cheap either, but if you're building a show pony, it'll be worth it.

Just a little info on the subject.  Lifted trucks with stiff suspension are horrible on door hinges!  Best way to make them last that I have found out is to replace the entire hinge or pins and bushings.. Also check or replace your door latch and catch pins to get the support back for the rear side of the door.

The suicide doors are the look I'm going for. NO WAY I would ugly up one of these trucks just 'cause! I was just wondering if I had to solve the sag issue before install. The kit I'm looking at is complete with install and automatic safety actuators in the door.

Now since they do interfere with the door latch on the outside, could I just not get a full door shave kit and install door poppers with hidden switches?

Note: If I lived in a actual city I would not be doing that. We got about 3500 people here and just about EVERYBODY leaves their keys in the vehicle overnight. Seriously you can take whichever you wanted. Weird to me being from Dallas but, cant beat 'em, so at least taking off the handles will confuse them!!!!

You will have more issues with alignment by going to suicide doors.  You will have to align everything yourself while installing the kit.

 If you have to ask, you shouldn't do it! I mean that in the most polite way, but its fact. It is a huge job that should not be done unless you have enough knowledge in metal fab and body work to take it on.
