I have a 90's 5 speed, wellsboro i think, I would like to ditch the turbo 350 thats in the truck. Does anyone know what is needed to make the trans work. I know that i need to get hydraulic pedals and slave cylander. im curious as to if the shifter will line up on the floor. thank you.

assuming you have a nv3500 or nv4500;
the shifter will end up 4-6 inches behind the stock location for a sm465
hydraulic pedals were used in 85+ trucks
I'm working on a similar project here's a link

keep checking back, the trans should be going in the truck in the next couple of weeks.
getting the speedometer to work will most likely be the most difficult issue.

Just an idea but I got around the speedometer issue using a GPS. The Garmin 5" GPS works best since you can put it on speedometer mode and it shows large numbers. If you're younger and have good eyes, then a Tom Tom would work but the numbers are smaller and on the corner of the screen.

This is the plan in my case-but I'll come back to it someday
