When I replaced my transmission in my truck I went with a summit racing th350 6in tailshaft and used an aluminum adapter to mate it with my np208 like the po had done. The transmission shifts nice and firm and does all I ask of it but the only draw back is the hole for the kick down cable is pluged with a little brass plug and it doesn't bother me too bad because I'm usualy not passing people at high speeds and the stall helps when it flashes up if I need to and don't feel like downshifting manualy but since I know it should have one it bothers me. What do I need to do to hook one up? I've got one for it but what do I need to hook it to inside the transmission? If whatever it needs to be hooked to is not there am I able to buy the parts to put in there?

There is a hook that the cable connects to. Who put a brass plug in there?

It is a new transmission from summit racing that's the way it came to me.
