The headlights dont work on my 83.
Where is the headlight relay and is there anything else I should look at to make the headlights work?
The head light harness looks pretty good no splices and the wiring doesnt look dry rotted .

it could be the switch itself. To remove it, there is a button you have to depress by reaching up under your dash on the side of the switch--push the button in and the knob stem comes out from the front. Then remove the switch and replace, or just remove and test by jumping the terminals with a stripped wire. Unless your '83 has the steering column light switch, i don't know when they switched (pardon the pun) over to the steering column light switch.

It has the pull out style on the dash switch.
If it is not the switch where is the headlight relay?

Could be the high / low beam switch. Have you powered up the bulbs?

I got the headlights to work my clean up of the alt and starter wiring most of fixed the headlights.

Just to let you know, there is no Relay in the Stock Headlight system.
-
No relay,so that explans why I couldnt find one then

There is a few people, myself included, that added relays to give full voltage to the headlights.
-
Did you all use one of the relay headlight kits that the venders sale?
-
yes. I made a post about it.

I made my own, and used 3 relays, to allow Low, High and Low and High to be on....
